Dump Truck Driver Get Slammed into Local Business

On Sunday, June 8th a hit and run driver slammed a dump truck into a Florence area business. The California Highway Patrol Officers are now looking for the hit and run driver.

At twelve:fifty-one in the morning, the hit and run driver crashed into the La Fuente de Oro Market on the 6000 block of Compton Avenue which is near the 69th Street.

The California Highway Patrol said that the driver was going northbound on Compton Avenue. For unknown reasons the man lost control of the truck. The driver then got out of the vehicle and ran away.

Police Search for Hit and Run Driver

The Police officials have been actively searching for the hit and run suspect, however a description of the suspect was not immediately available.

According to the report, the market had been partially red-tagged by the Los Angeles County Building Inspectors. The owners hope to reopen once the front portion of the market is repaired.

Luckily, the market was closed at the time of the collision. However the owner was asleep in the back of the market. He was sleeping in the back due to a rash of recent burglaries. Luckily the owner was not injured.
